A lovely little Georgian mourning brooch in 9ct gold, made in c.1820. Featuring beautiful orange coral beads set in 9ct gold which makes it that bit more unique. The brooch is in exceptional condition for its age, and the craftsmanship just highlights this fact.
Memorial jewellery featuring hair was quite a popular thing during the Georgian period and was usually crafted to commemorate the passing of a loved one.
A very nice brooch, to be of great sentimental value.
