A substantial Victorian spinner fob dating precisely to 1873, crafted in solid 15ct gold and weighing an impressive 16.86 grams. The large circular form is set with two contrasting polished hardstone faces, one bloodstone with characteristic red flecking and the other sardonyx.
The stone revolves within an exceptionally substantial gold frame, supported by sweeping belt-inspired mounts with engraved buckle and keeper details around the suspension. This distinctive Victorian motif gives the fob an architectural quality.
Presented in excellent antique condition with light age-related wear. The spinner mechanism operates correctly, the hardstones are well preserved and the gold retains strong definition throughout. A particularly fine and unusually substantial example of Victorian 15ct gold jewellery.
