A magnificent antique 15ct gold intaglio seal dating to c.1860. The body is finely detailed, with chasing of a face to the centre, and two rising horses. This is mirrored both sides of the fob.
The intaglio depicts a dragon standing proudly on a crown, with ornate gothic initials beneath—a powerful heraldic design symbolising strength, protection, and nobility. The seal is accompanied by its original split ring in excellent condition, making it easy to attach to a chain, fob, or Albert.
In fabulous overall condition, this is a superb collector’s piece of mid-Victorian jewellery.
