A fine early Victorian intaglio seal dating to c.1840, beautifully crafted in 15ct gold casing. The body is adorned with elegant floral gold work, leading down to a chalcedony intaglio base. The intaglio depicts a lion beneath the Spanish motto “Fuerza y Valor” (Strength and Courage), a powerful symbol of bravery and resilience.
In fabulous condition, this ornate seal is both decorative and functional, making it a superb addition to any antique jewellery collection.
