An antique dog clip clasp dating to around 1900, crafted in 15ct yellow gold. The clasp has a classic tapered form with turned detailing around the central body and a loop to the opposite end.
Originally used with watch chains, Albert chains and long guards, antique dog clips are now particularly useful for attaching pendants, charms and fobs to chains, or as a decorative chain connector.
Very good antique condition with light age-related wear. The sprung dog clip mechanism is working correctly and closes securely.
