A fine antique 15ct gold spinner pendant, featuring a practical locking pin at the top to secure the swivel in place when worn. A well-considered detail that adds both functionality and quality to the piece.
Each side is set with a beautifully carved chalcedony intaglio. One depicts a lion rampant upon a shield bearing three fleurs-de-lis, with flowing roses to either side — a richly detailed and heraldic design. The reverse features a second lion rampant alongside the italic initials “HW”.
The carving on both sides is crisp and expressive, standing out clearly within the smooth chalcedony. The pendant is of a particularly good size, with a satisfying presence, making it both a striking wearable piece and a strong addition to a collection.
Presented in fabulous antique condition, with light wear consistent with age.
