An antique 18ct yellow gold ring dating to 1897, centred with an old-cut sapphire of approximately 0.10ct in a bezel setting, encircled by a halo of seed pearls forming a classic Victorian cluster.
A further two old-cut sapphires, approximately 0.09ct each, sit to the shoulders, framing the central cluster and adding balance to the design. The deep blue of the sapphires contrasts elegantly with the soft lustre of the pearls.
The ring carries full hallmarks for 18ct gold and remains in lovely antique condition, with all stones secure and the setting well preserved. A strong example of late Victorian gemstone work, suitable as a statement or heirloom piece.
