An antique 18ct yellow gold compass modelled as a ship’s wheel, dating to c.1900. The frame is well defined and beautifully made, giving the piece a strong, balanced outline.
At the centre, the compass is in notably clean condition, with a crisp dial, clear directional markings, and a vivid blue needle that remains sharp and easy to read. The contrast between the polished gold and the detailed centre gives the piece a strong focal point.
The reverse is engraved “H.E.A FROM JJM, 1922,”.
Presented in lovely antique condition, with light wear consistent with age.
