A substantial early 20th-century double Albert chain dated precisely to 1914, crafted in sterling silver and formed from alternating trombone links and rounded connecting links. Each trombone link carries its own lion passant stamp, creating a particularly satisfying level of detail throughout the chain.

The traditional double Albert construction retains dog clips to the ends together with a central T-bar, allowing a watch, fob, seal or pendant to be attached in the period manner. At 14 inches long and weighing 20.79 grams, it has enough substance to sit with presence while retaining the open, articulated look associated with trombone-link chains.

The chain is fully hallmarked for Birmingham in 1914 and carries the maker’s mark 'HB&S'. Presented in very good antique condition with age-related wear consistent with its age. The links remain well articulated and the fittings function correctly.
