A beautifully decorative antique 9ct gold chased locket dating to c.1860. The front is adorned with delicate enamel work depicting two finely detailed forget me nots, with green enamel to the leaves and stems, white enamel to one bloom, and blue enamel to the other. The colour contrast against the warm gold creates a striking and elegant Victorian composition.
The reverse is finely chased and features a blank shield-shaped cartouche, ready for personal engraving if desired. Inside, there is space for one keepsake, complete with its acrylic panel. Even the jump ring is attractively detailed, reflecting the quality and care taken in its construction.
Presented in lovely antique condition, with strong chasing and vibrant enamel remaining. A charming and wearable late Victorian piece.
