An exquisite antique locket crafted in solid 9ct gold dating back to 1901.
The detailing is extremely impressive and unusually this locket is made of solid gold. There is a very sweet forget-me-not flower centred at the top, surrounded by lovely foliate engraving throughout.
It carries a lot of elegance and class. The locket is in lovely condition with the clasp clicking firmly shut.
It is beautifully hallmarked for Birmingham, 9ct gold, with date letter 'b' corresponding to 1901. Makers mark 'W & M'
Another lovely detail is that the gold insert is made of solid gold and has its own marks for '375' (9ct gold).
