A 9ct gold heart-shaped locket with decorative detailing to the front and a central pearl set within a flower motif — the pearl a symbol of purity and sentiment, the heart form one of the most enduring shapes in Victorian jewellery.
The detailing to the front is well executed, the flower and pearl centrepiece giving the locket a focal point that elevates it above a plain heart. The reverse carries further detail consistent with the quality of the front.
The locket opens to reveal space for two keepsakes, both compartments and glass present and intact.
