An antique Victorian 9ct gold heart-shaped locket with glass panels to the front and back — the entire piece transparent, the interior visible through both faces. The locket opens to reveal the keepsake space within, a photograph or small memento fitting between the glass panels.
This locket also functions beautifully as a shaker locket — small gems, seed pearls, dried flowers or glass beads of approximately 1.5mm in size can be placed inside and will move freely between the two glass panels, visible from both sides when worn. A versatile and charming piece with more possibilities than its appearance first suggests.
The glass is in very good condition throughout — no chips, the locket opening and closing correctly.
