A beautifully made antique Victorian 9ct gold locket dating to c.1880. The front is set with a rich sardonyx agate panel and centred with a raised 9ct gold shield cartouche, creating a striking and well-balanced design. The reverse is finely chased with delicate detail, adding depth and character to the piece.
Inside, the locket retains its original glass on one side, with an insert to the other, allowing space for a keepsake or photograph. A wonderful example of Victorian craftsmanship, combining bold design with fine decorative work, and a timeless piece that wears beautifully today.
