A distinctive Victorian pendant dating to c.1880, crafted in 9ct gold and set with small turquoise cabochons throughout. The compact form is built from angular overlapping sections, each finished with fine engraved scrollwork that gives the piece plenty of detail from every angle.
The turquoise stones are individually set across the gold body, their blue-green colour standing out clearly against the warm metal. The pierced construction adds depth through the centre, while the engraved surfaces give the pendant a richly worked appearance despite its small scale.
Presented in very good antique condition with age-related wear consistent with its age. The turquoise remains securely set and the engraved decoration is still clearly defined.
