A beautiful antique 9ct rolled gold Victorian pools of light locket pendant, dating to c.1890. The design features two domed rock crystal glass panels set within a rolled gold mount, opening to store a photograph or keepsake inside. The domed glass gives a subtle magnifying effect, a hallmark of pools of light jewellery from this period.
Modelled in rolled gold and offered in lovely condition, with only very minor wear consistent with age, this is a fine and versatile example of late Victorian craftsmanship.
