A striking antique 9ct rose gold ring formed as two coiled snakes, their bodies wrapping to create a bold and sculptural band. The opposing heads meet at the front, each set with a 0.5ct old-cut garnet, deep rich purple in colour and full of life.
The detailing is particularly well executed, with carefully defined eyes and subtle mouth features giving the snakes a lifelike character. The ring has a satisfying weight and presence on the hand, making it a true statement piece while still remaining highly wearable.
Snake jewellery has long symbolised eternity and enduring love, adding an extra layer of meaning to this already distinctive design. A fabulous quality example, with a wonderfully chunky feel and strong visual impact.
Presented in excellent antique condition, with very little wear.
