An Edwardian négligée necklace dating to around 1905, crafted in 15ct gold and set with two pale blue aquamarines suspended beneath a seed pearl cluster. The two drops hang at different lengths, giving the necklace the characteristic asymmetric form associated with négligée jewellery of the period.

Each aquamarine is oval cut and claw set, with the larger stone measuring 8.8mm x 5.3mm and the smaller 6.7mm x 4.8mm. Fine knife-edge gold bars connect the stones to the pearl cluster, keeping the construction light and drawing attention to the movement of the two drops.

The original fine gold chain measures 15.75 inches. Presented in very good antique condition, with the aquamarines and pearls remaining securely set.
