A beautiful antique Edwardian heart locket dating to around 1905, crafted in 15ct gold and centred with a bright old mine cut diamond. The softly domed heart has a wonderfully clean polished finish, with the diamond set into an engraved starburst that draws the eye directly to the centre.
The old mine cut diamond measures approximately 2mm across, equating to an estimated 0.03 carats. The stone is particularly clear and catches the light beautifully against the warm gold. The reverse has been left completely plain, while the hinged heart opens to reveal the original keepsake compartment within.
Presented in lovely antique condition with only light age-related surface wear. The hinge functions correctly, the diamond remains securely set and the locket retains its elegant proportions and original Edwardian character.
