An exceptional antique Edwardian bangle dating to around 1905, crafted in 15ct gold and centred with a delicate cluster of lustrous pearls. The front is beautifully worked with scrolling openwork decoration, fine rope-twist borders and a row of tiny gold bead details, giving the bangle the intricate finish associated with fine Edwardian jewellery.
The 7.5mm pearl cluster forms the focal point, set against the finely detailed gold framework while the remainder of the bangle is kept elegantly simple. It retains its original tongue clasp and safety chain and is accompanied by its original fitted jewellery box, a particularly appealing survival alongside the piece itself.
Presented in lovely antique condition with only light age-related wear. The openwork remains crisp, the pearls are securely set and the clasp and safety chain function correctly. At 8.1 grams, it has a pleasing substance while retaining the refined proportions characteristic of the period.
