A finely detailed Edwardian sapphire and diamond ring dated precisely to 1903, crafted in warm 18ct gold. A rich blue sapphire sits at the centre, framed on either side by clusters of old mine-cut diamonds that give the ring a bright, lively sparkle across the finger.
The setting has a beautifully open, pierced construction around the stones, allowing the diamonds and sapphire to remain the clear focus while adding delicate period detail to the shoulders. The contrast between the vivid blue sapphire, hand-cut diamonds and warm gold gives the ring a particularly attractive Edwardian look.
The central sapphire measures 4.6mm, while six old mine-cut diamonds measuring 1.3mm each are arranged around it. Presented in very good antique condition with age-related wear consistent with its age.
