A striking antique locket with timeless engraving throughout. This decorative locket dates back to the Edwardian era c.1900 and is made in 9ct gold for the front and back panels.
The detailing to this is exceptional with intricate engraving of a heart in the centre, and a floral, forget-me-not theme to the reverse.
A magnificent piece of antique jewellery with a distinct pattern and style. The interior has a small engraving line coming through where the heart shape is. Many locket of this design and era would have had similar flaws due to the way they were made and engraved. The locket does close with a nice snap.
The locket is marked '9ct gold back & front' which means the sides/frame may be a base metal, however the decorative panels are solid 9ct gold.
