A finely detailed Edwardian glass locket dated to 1904, crafted in 9ct gold and finished with applied green gold ivy leaves around the upper frame. The combination of warm yellow gold, contrasting green gold and clear glass gives the piece a particularly elegant period look.
The ivy decoration is beautifully worked, with individual leaves and curling stems arranged across the top of the circular frame. The glass remains in very good condition and can be removed by unscrewing the top fitting, allowing the locket to hold a photograph, pressed flower, lock of hair or another small keepsake.
The green gold ivy leaves give the locket a distinctive two-tone finish, while the removable glass keeps the piece practical for displaying a photograph, pressed flower, lock of hair or another small keepsake. Presented in very good antique condition with light age-related wear consistent with its age.
