A finely engraved Edwardian shield locket dated to 1906, crafted in 9ct gold and finished with dense hand-chased foliate decoration across the front. The central cartouche has been left plain, giving the piece a strong focal point and leaving space for initials or a monogram if desired.
The shield form gives the locket a crisp, heraldic feel, while the engraved foliage adds plenty of texture and movement across the surface. Inside, the original insert and glass remain in place, preserving the locket’s original function for a photograph or keepsake.
Presented in very good antique condition with age-related wear consistent with its age. The engraving remains clear and the original interior components are a particularly nice surviving detail.
