A substantial late Georgian split ring crafted in 15ct gold, with hand-chased decoration continuing around almost the entire circumference. The engraved foliate and scroll pattern gives the ring far more character than a plain connector, while the warm gold and softly worn surface retain exactly the look you want from an early 19th-century piece.
At 24.5mm across, this is a particularly generous example and works beautifully as a pendant connector for seals, charms or other antique pieces. Its size also corresponds to roughly a UK T finger size, so it could potentially be worn as a ring, although its original purpose is as a split ring rather than a conventional finger ring.
Presented in lovely antique condition. The chasing remains clearly visible throughout, with some minor softening and wear to the decoration consistent with age and use.
