A rare antique Georgian wedding band dating to around 1830, crafted in rich 22ct gold and stamped internally with the maker's mark 'WJ', attributed to William Jamieson of Aberdeen. Although the ring does not carry a separate Aberdeen provincial assay mark, the maker's stamp points to Aberdeen manufacture and gives the piece a strong Scottish provincial association.

The band has a simple, understated profile that feels entirely appropriate for an early 19th-century wedding ring. At just 1.4mm wide, it has a delicate, refined appearance, while the high-carat gold gives it the deep warmth and softness characteristic of early Georgian gold jewellery.

Presented in very good antique condition with age-related surface wear consistent with its age. The survival of the maker's mark is especially appealing on such a simple band, giving this otherwise restrained piece a clear connection to early Scottish goldsmithing.
