An unusual Victorian fob pendant dating to c.1900, crafted in 9ct rolled gold and modelled in the form of a hunting horn. The front is centred with a finely detailed dog’s head in profile, framed by scrolling decoration that gives the piece a strong sporting character.
Turn the pendant over and the reverse reveals a circular goldstone panel, its warm brown surface filled with fine coppery sparkle. The combination of the sculptural hunting horn form, the dog motif and the glittering goldstone reverse makes this a particularly distinctive Victorian fob.
Presented in good antique condition with age-related wear consistent with its age. The goldstone has some very slight nibbling around the edge, but remains securely set and displays well.
