A Victorian spinner fob dated to 1892, crafted in sterling silver and set with bloodstone to one side and carnelian to the other. The middle section rotates within the engraved outer frame, allowing either side to be displayed and giving the piece its original spinner function.
The silver mount is worked with scrolling foliate decoration around the top and sides, while the two contrasting hardstones give the fob a completely different appearance depending on which side is facing forward. Originally intended as a watch-chain fob, it now works equally well worn as a pendant on a chain.
Presented in very good antique condition with age-related wear consistent with its age. The spinner mechanism remains functional, both stones are securely set and the engraved silverwork remains well defined.
