A large sterling silver heart locket with fern leaf chasing to the front and back, and a chased bale to match. Fern leaves were a popular Victorian motif carrying associations with sincerity, humility and new beginnings — a fitting decoration for a locket intended to hold something close and personal.
The locket opens to reveal two interior inserts, allowing two separate keepsakes to be stored. Both inserts are present.
