An antique sterling silver pendant, hallmarked for the Birmingham Assay Office and dating to 1912. The piece features a beautifully modelled lion mounted proudly at the top — a symbol of courage, strength, and guardianship. Below, an intricate silver mount holds two stones: a deep green bloodstone on the front, and a rich carnelian on the reverse.
The craftsmanship is wonderfully detailed, and the pendant survives in lovely condition, carrying with it the quiet dignity and meaning so often found in early 20th-century jewellery. A charming and expressive piece, ready to be worn and treasured.
