A remarkable antique Edwardian sterling silver whistle, beautifully made and dating to 1905. This impressive piece features an ingenious hinged mechanism at one end, allowing the whistle to separate into two sections. One section contains a single clean whistle opening, while the other is cleverly divided again, producing two additional tones — allowing the whistle to play three distinct notes in total.
A wonderful example of early 20th-century craftsmanship, this whistle works exactly as it should and produces lovely clear, high tunes. Fully hallmarked for the London Assay Office with the date letter K for 1905, it is both a functional object and a fascinating collectible.
An unusual and highly appealing piece, ideal for collectors of antique silver, sporting accessories, or novelty Edwardian items.
