A very pretty antique Victorian 15ct gold watch key which dates back to the Victorian era, c.1880. The
body of the key is nicely engraved with a floral decoration and the hoop is mounted at the top on a swivel ball. This allows the key to rotate 360 degrees which is a nice feature if it is to be worn with a necklace/chain.
The key is unmarked however tested for 15ct gold. The end of the key where it once would have wound a pocket watch, is made of a base metal so it would have been more hard wearing when winding the watch.
