A beautifully elegant Victorian diamond ring dating to around 1860, crafted in rich 18ct gold and centred with a 0.25ct oval rose cut diamond. The principal stone is flanked by two smaller rose cut diamonds, creating a refined three-stone design with a wonderfully delicate mid-Victorian feel.
The rose cut centre is the real attraction, with broad hand-cut facets that catch the light in the softer, distinctive way associated with early antique diamonds. Its irregular antique faceting gives the stone far more character than a modern brilliant cut and makes the ring especially appealing from different angles.
Presented in very good antique condition with light age-related wear consistent with its age. The diamonds remain securely set and the simple 18ct gold setting keeps the focus firmly on the original stones.
