A late Victorian open-face locket dating to c.1890, crafted in 9ct rolled gold and fitted with two removable circular glass panels. The simple open design makes it ideal for displaying a photograph, pressed flower, lock of hair or other small keepsake while keeping the contents visible from both sides.
The two glass panels can be removed from the frame, making the locket practical to fill and easy to adapt to different keepsakes. The slim rolled gold surround keeps the focus on whatever is placed inside, while the top fitting and jump ring retain a distinctly antique character.
Presented in good antique condition with age-related wear consistent with its age. The glass remains clear and in good condition.
