A richly engraved late Victorian heart locket dating to c.1900, crafted in 9ct rose gold and with a particularly warm antique tone. Both sides are covered with flowing foliate scrollwork, while the front is centred by a plain heart-shaped cartouche that gives the design a softer focal point against the surrounding engraving.
The chased decoration is especially attractive, with deep scrolling leaves and curves continuing across both faces of the locket. The heart shape and rose-gold colour work beautifully together, giving the piece a romantic period feel without relying on added stones or embellishment.
The original internal inserts remain in place, although the glass panels are no longer present. Presented in good antique condition with age-related wear consistent with its age, and the engraved decoration remains clearly defined.

Unmarked, tests as 9ct rose gold back and front. The panels are made of 9ct however other parts of the inside locket will be base metal.
