A striking Victorian banded agate pendant dating to c.1890, carved into a tapered obelisk form with a dark square base and sharply defined horizontal bands running through the stone. The natural layers of brown, black and white give the pendant a strong graphic look, with each band following the structure of the agate itself.
The long tapered body gives the piece a sculptural presence, while the polished square base creates a bold finish at the bottom. A rolled gold connector and jump ring complete the pendant, allowing it to be worn easily on an antique chain or added to a fob collection.
Presented in very good antique condition with age-related wear consistent with its age. The agate remains well polished with strong natural banding and a clean geometric form.
