A gorgeous pair of silver Victorian earrings hand crafted in 1881! These pretty things have a decorative border with an applied lucky horseshoe to the front.
The Victorians loved integrated symbolic meanings in their jewellery and the lucky horseshoe is just one examples; it is said to bring good luck and fortune.
They are in excellent condition despite being 142 years old.
The earrings are beautifully hallmarked on the back with Birmingham assay office, sterling silver with date letter 'g' corresponding to 1881. Makers mark GL & Co (G Loveridge & Co).
