An absolutely stunning antique Victorian silver locket dating back to 1882.
This piece is of nice quality and in exceptional condition, with the locket snapping shut securely. The front features hand carved forget-me-not flowers with a similar floral engraving to the reverse. Silver gilt is highlighted throughout the locket which gives it that elegant look.
Silver gilt is a process whereby a thin layer of gold is applied to the surface of the silver.
The locket is crafted in sterling silver, hallmarked for Birmingham, 1882 with makers mark EV.
