A striking Mid century sterling silver brooch dating to c.1950, centred with a brightly enamelled swallow in flight. The bird is rendered in vivid red, green and orange enamel, creating a particularly strong contrast against the silver framework.

The swallow flies across an open circular design of sweeping stems, two faceted purple glass and a sculpted silver leaf. The outer border is decorated with small floral and foliate details, giving the brooch considerable depth despite its compact proportions. The reverse reveals the construction of the applied swallow and retains its original brass pin fitting.

Presented in very good vintage condition with light age-related wear. The enamel remains particularly vibrant with good definition to the feathers and body.
