An unusual antique Victorian 9ct gold & silver masonic ball dating back to c.1890.
This delightful antique is very nicely made, featuring 4 individual claws which hold the orb together. Once unpinned, the orb unfolds into a magnificent cross shape, compromising of 6 pyramids. Each of the pyramids is exquisitely detailed with the very much important masonic symbols.
The inside of the orb is crafted in silver however features a lovely silver gilding. The claws are solid 9ct gold holding the orb together.
Whats unique about this specific masonic ball, is that the compass and square is mounted to the top, which is very rare to see.
The pendant is marked on the base for 9ct.
The width is 20mm, and once unfolded, it's length is 43mm, with a width of 38mm.
