A classic vintage heart padlock clasp dating to 1971, crafted in 9ct yellow gold with a clean, traditional padlock form. The heart-shaped body is finished with a prominent keyhole and visible screw detailing, giving the piece the character of a miniature working lock.
Designed as a bracelet fastener, the hinged curved arm opens from the side before securing back into the body of the heart. Heart padlocks have a long history in jewellery, particularly as closures for curb and gate bracelets, where the combination of heart and lock naturally came to represent love, attachment and commitment.
