A very smart solid 9ct gold London Portcullis brooch which was designed and commissioned by the House of Commons originally.
The brooch has makers mark OMG, which is Ola Gorie, a well known Scottish jewellery designer and was hand crafted in Orkney.
It is also hallmarked for Edinburgh, 375, 9ct, with date letter 'v' corresponding to the year 1995.
The brooch features a safety chain which can be attached as a precautionary measure.
