A finely made vintage butterfly brooch dating to around 1960, crafted in sterling silver and decorated with vivid turquoise, blue and green enamel. The wings are divided into multiple sections of translucent and opaque colour, with fine silver wirework creating the outlines and internal pattern.
The butterfly has a particularly lively, symmetrical design, with curled antennae, a green enamelled body and softly scalloped lower wings. The combination of cool blue tones and silver gives the piece a crisp mid-century look, while the enamel remains the main visual focus.
Presented in very good vintage condition with light age-related wear consistent with its age. The enamel remains bright and the original pin fitting to the reverse functions correctly.
