A substantial sterling silver hinged bangle hallmarked Birmingham for 1986, with the front half covered in detailed scrolling foliate engraving. The decoration is cut across a broad 19mm surface, combining polished leaves, textured backgrounds and fine dotted borders to give the bracelet plenty of depth when worn.
The reverse has been left plain, creating a strong contrast with the engraved front and keeping the focus on the workmanship. A hinged construction allows the bangle to open comfortably at the side, while the original safety chain provides an additional period-style security feature.
At 25.35 grams, the bracelet has a reassuring weight and substantial presence on the wrist. Presented in very good vintage condition with light age-related wear consistent with its age, and the hinge and fastening remain functional.
